On Wednesday 2 April 2025 we will be making some adjustments to London Assay Office pricing. Packets received from this date onwards will incur these new charges.

The adjustments that will affect most businesses are:
• The “One hour” packet fee - will increase from £85 to £90
• The fee for packets containing 1-2 articles - will increase from £16 to £17
• The fee for packets containing 3+ articles - will increase from £20 to £21
• and the article surcharge will increase from £1.30 per article to £1.40 per article
• The non hallmarking charge for packets which have no hallmarking i.e. engraving, sponsor mark only - will increase from £16 to £17

The prices for all of our services can be seen in full, in our updated Price List found in our Customer Info and Downloads section.

We understand that some customers may find these adjustments challenging, however we are proud to:
• Be the most cost-effective Assay Office for customers that need to submit packets containing 1-2 articles.
• Offer struck or laser marking in one, simple to follow, pricing structure.
• Apply the full traditional UK hallmark without charging a supplement for the traditional fineness symbol or date letter.

This decision to adjustment our prices has not been taken lightly, however increased costs of production, and the surge in demand for high priority packet return and for complex marking of articles, have made it a necessity for our business
